More or Less Chapter 14 completed. An ongoing collaboration with @lindesay_dresdon which began three years ago with exhibitions @solgalleryspace and @galleryunbound and is still loads of fun, ever enlightening and sometimes frustrating! Even though this one challenged me enormously (the rice glue I usually use wouldn’t stick) the results say it all - Lindesay and my works speak to each other.

Our mother who art, on show now in the yours + mine @galleryunbound

I created this painting in collaboration with my sister @fmcol_funcreating (see her work alongside mine in the 3rd slide).
We decided we would like to each create a 30cm square work of our mother, referencing the same photo (taken on mum’s 96th birthday this year). The journey of creating this work has been an interesting one, leading me to closely reflect on our mother; not just her often regal appearance and her piercing blue eyes, but her strengths mixed with vulnerabilities.
